Yes! It is not difficult to plan / book your own Umrah trip. We at Reverts Umrah are happy to advise you free of charge on logistics & planning for your trip.  Umrah Trips for Reverts! Not for Profit! 

No - we are a different organisation altogether, albeit we both operate in a similar field.  

From what we have seen on social media, The Revert Umrah are doing some great work mashAllah (at the time of writing - Dec 25), and can be reached via their Instagram handle (@therevertumrah).  

There are a few other organisations that we are aware of who currently offer / have offered similar trips - including Convert Care, The Revert Umrah (not to be confused with us, Reverts Umrah!), and Islamwise. From our perspective, it makes no difference which organisation you travel with - all we desire is that you have a wonderful Umrah whether it is through us, another organisation or travelling independently. For this reason we always recommend checking out packages with other organisations to see if they offer something more suitable for your travel requirements. Although we do not vouch for any organisation, we have dealt with Convert Care in the past and highly recommend their work in supporting the revert community, and have been impressed by the content we've seen on social media from The Revert Umrah at the date of writing (Dec 25).

For those travelling for the first time, we highly recommend performing the Umrah trip during the quieter periods. Generally this means avoiding global holiday seasons (i.e. december), as well as Ramadan. 

The weather in Saudi Arabia can also be challenging in the summer, so this should be considered for those with mobility or health issues.

Yes! Our trips are open to brothers and sisters. 

Accommodation / rooms will of course be segregated. 

If one coach is arranged for the whole group, then brothers & sisters will have separate designated seating areas to ensure everyone's privacy and comfort.

The only pre-requisites are that you are a revert / convert and over 18 years old.

Please note that on our group trips, due to limited spaces, we may have to prioritise newer reverts if demand for places is high.

In some exceptional circumstances we will allow a non-revert to travel (i.e. a spouse who is not a revert).

Our aim is to provide quality but affordable Umrah packages for the reverts community. In order to facilitate this, we operate strictly on not-for-profit basis. 

We envisage being able to offer most of our packages for approximately £875. This covers flights, accommodation, visas, transfers and guided tours.

Some of our trips will be led by a UK scholar. Where we have arranged for this service, the scholar's reasonable costs (flights / accommodation / service charge for time) will also be included in the trip price. The prices we advertise are based on a scholar being present (unless specified otherwise). If a scholar does not attend the trip, the price will be reduced accordingly for attendees.

For full transparency, it is likely that we at Reverts Umrah will operate trips at a slight financial loss. These losses are covered by our generous donors who support the initiative.

We offer these services to earn the Pleasure of Allah. We also have a deep attachment to the reverts community and understand how isolating, lonely and difficult the transitional period can be. Through offering these Umrah trips we hope that reverts will be in good supportive company, make lifelong friendships, and most importantly cement and fortify their imaan through the spiritual imaan uplift that flows from this great action of worship! 

We envisage that some trips will be led by a scholar and others will not. We will of course provide full transparency before booking whether a scholar will be joining. 

Rest assured though that where a scholar is not present to accompany the trip, you will still be in good hands and not left alone.

You will be met & greeted at Madinah Airport by one of our team who will accompany you to your hotel. For the days you are Madinah he will always be close by, regularly touching base, and available to meet each day. We will also arrange a local expert to do a tour of the sites in Madinah. 

One of our team will then accompany you on the journey to Makkah and will be staying with you & present throughout your time there and will guide you through your Umrah.

At the end of your trip, he will also take care of your transportation to Jeddah airport.

At Reverts Umrah we are Sunni Muslims who strive to follow the Quran & Sunnah.

We accept that reverts are a reflection of the wider Ummah and can come from a variety of backgrounds (both in terms of theology within Sunni Islam - as well as jurisprudential leanings), and we always try to be gentle and inclusive in our approach, and are accepting of mainstream valid differences of opinions.

As a not-for-profit community initiative, we are not ATOL protected. 

For this reason we will not ask for the full payment of the trip up front, and typically ask for payments to be made gradually over 3 instalments to cover the costs as we incur them from our side (i.e. flight commitments, hotel bookings, visas etc).
